You will need:
  • 1x white A4 sheet of paper
  • Some orange card stock
  • Some patterned paper
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Twine
  • Black ink pen

Step 1)
Fold the A4 sheet of paper in half. Then take some orange card stock and cut it roughly 1.5cm smaller around the edges than the card before glueing it on (I glued mine on on a diagonal because I failed to cut in a straight line and this was my attempt at hiding it).

Step 2) Cut some twine and stick it to the card using either glue or tape.

Step 3) Now cut out 5 small triangles from your patterned paper. Once you've cut them out space them evenly beneath the twine and glue them in place before writing the letters 'H', 'A', 'P' etc. (H.A.P.P.Y.) in each of the triangles.

Step 4) Underneath that write 'birthday' before using your patterned paper once again to cut out whatever you would call this shape:

Step 5) Glue this down and write the name of whoever you are giving the card to in this space.

And now you're finished! I hope you like this birthday card DIY. I'm not quite sure how I feel about this design as I don't really like the colours I chose but that can easily be fixed if I were ever make it again.
