DIY Calendar 2015

Monday, 2 February 2015

So this is kind of late...

Still, better late than never.

This DIY is really simple as all you need is;
Some card stock,
Scissors,
Glue,
Twine/yarn/or any other type of string,
a hole punch,
a printer
and a calendar template for 2015. Just search 2015 calendar template and find one you like.
Click the link to use the same one I did.
Some card stock
A gold pen

Step 1.
The first thing you will need to do is print the calendar out. I printed it onto normal A4 sheets of white printer paper and then stuck it onto card stock to make it stronger but you could always just print it straight onto the card stock to save yourself some time.

Step 2.
Glue the printed template to a piece of card stock.

Step 3.
Measure where you want the twine to be threaded through and punch a hole in the top of each piece of card stock.

Step 4.
Cut your twine to your preferred length and thread it through the holes on the left side of the card stock. Then cut some more and do the same for the left.
After each piece has been threaded through leave some space at the top of each and tie a knot.

Step 5.
Now attach the two piece of twine and tie them together in a bow.

To change the month shown at the front just untie the bow. Flip the page over and pull the twine through the holes and tie the bow at the top again.

Step 6.
(optional)
In the space left at the top of my card stock I used a gold pen to write some quotes.
If you have space to fill you could do the same of print some photos that you like from the internet or ones you have taken yourself and stick them at the top instead.

You know what the great thing about making a calendar late is???
You don't have to print January. I still did though. Oops.

Also if you have any ideas for a future blog post then feel free to let me know :)

Till next time,
Erin xoxo
