Easy DIY Notebook Cover

Monday, 12 January 2015

To make this notebook you will need:
  • a notebook
  • white card stock
  • patterned paper
  • gold paper
  • scissors
  • mod podge
  • a paint brush
  • and a pencil.

Step 1)

Place your book on top of the card stock and trace around it.

Step 2)

Cut it out and stick it on to the cover of your book using mod podge.

Step 3)

Place your patterned paper over the top of your book and position it however you want. Carefully hold it in place and flip you book over so this paper is on the bottom, allowing you to trace around the book showing you where to cut the paper.

Step 4)

If step three made any sense to you then you can now cut around the outline and glue your paper onto your book.

Step 5)

Cut a circle out of your gold paper and using a black pen write notes, notebook, book, basically whatever you want that I can't think of because I'm not a mind reader and have no idea what you want to write on it.

For this step I used white paper for the circle and just painted it gold.  Then I wrote 'notes' on using a black posca pen.

Once I finished all that I decided to cover the book with a sheet of clear contact just to be on the safe side.

Hopefully this made sense to you :)
