How to make a Six Pointed Paper Snowflake

Monday, 15 December 2014

Today I will be showing you how to make a six pointed snowflake. It actually took me so long to work out how to make these and in the end I'm still not sure if I did the right thing.
Hopefully these instructions make more sense to you than they did for me.

Also I know it seems like a craft for younger kids but it can be really fun especially if you have someone making them with you like a sibling or a friend.

Step 1)
Fold your square piece of paper in half to make a triangle.

Step 2)
Now fold the triangle in half so it looks like this.

 Step 3)
Divide your triangle into thirds and fold the right side over.
Then fold the left side over the top of the right.

Step 4)
Flip it over and taking your scissors, cut along the horizontal line.
Now it should look something like this.

Step 5)
Cut a design into your triangle...

I used my hot glue gun to stick some twine to the back of each snowflake so I could hang them in front of a window along with a little blu tack to hold them in place at the top.
